Tell us who you are and an overview of your story.
A native of Chicago, Sandra is founder and president of Wheelz On Time Inc., a U.S. Army Veteran and a former truck driver. She has over 12 years of experience in the Leasing industry. Her varied employment experience including Administration, Bookkeeping, Customer Support, Financing, Property Management, Sales, and Transportation is drawn from a multi-faceted, 30 year work history. Wheelz On Time was founded on the belief that new tire financing should not only be for the well qualified.
What’s your company and what does it do?
Wheelz On Time is a rent-to-own tire financing company, we provide an attainable (no minimum credit score required) financing option for new tire purchases for the 35%- 50% of consumers who don’t qualify for conventional financing.
Can you tell us a key lesson you’ve learned over the past year and how you’re going to carry it with you into the next year?
My motto is “Faith even when there are no funds!” Most people won’t even think about starting a business because they don’t know how they’re going to finance it. Obviously, funding is important, but if you wait til you have the money to start, you probably never will. In this next year, I’m preparing to scale my business and I have no idea where the money is going to come from to accomplish that. Nonetheless, I’m determined to be prepared when it arrives because I know it will.
How would you pass on your lesson to others and recommend they apply it to their companies and careers?
Believe in yourself and your vision and others will too. Your confidence will be contagious!
